TheNeedForZ
Hi, I was reading a tech article in which a SBC 383 was build into having 475hp before NOS. One of the "must have" item mentioned in the article was beehive valve springs(cross section of the wire looks like an egg, overall shape of the coil looks like a Japanese sake bottle less flare) How is the spring "better" than regular springs? What does a better spring contribute in terms of performance? Thanks in advance.
DaleMX
They offer better control of harmonics and the design allows higher lifts from a given wire dia. Here's some info from the CC site. http://www.compcams.com/information/whatsnew/NewsDetails.asp?ListHistoryID=-1373872784 Dale
