zdmz
I tore apart my heater system to clean and repaint - before I put it back together I want to test the heater core to be sure it does not leak. What is the correct way to do that?? I am thinking of hooking my compressor up to the heater core, pumping it up to about 10psi and dunking it in water to check for air bubbles. Another question. One of the baffles inside the heater housing, I think it is the one to redirect air to the defroster, is padded on both sides (at least it is supposed to be). On one side of the baffle the padding has come off (the side where the mouse built its nest ). Can't find the padding in the MSA or Victoria catalogs - any suggestions on what to use to replace the padding??? Thanks
hanomon
That 10psi hydro might be alright, I'd go 15psi. The padding could be replaced with landau. I've got pleanty left over that I used in my htr-syst, and will send you a chunk. Send me a SASE and you've got it.
zdmz
Isn't landau an imitation leather???? PM me an address and I will send an envelope. Thanks
