Guest Anonymous
I have looked through a lot of sites and catalogs for conversion kits. I have seen how to get the engine in but what type of transmission would I need? Also what else am I going to have to change for this to work? Thank you for your time. Guest Drewz
I have a 260 right now that was converted about 4 years ago with no conversion kit used. It is not hard at all. I am using the stock trans crossmember and chev mount on my 200R 3 speed auto as well as a recored stock rad with a nice big electric fan. A real good idea when you are going to convert the car is to get the master urethane bushing kit since the bushings will all be real weak. I also opted for the R200 from a 280zx but haven't done the CV conversion. ( I will when they break) The wiring was marked on the old engine with making tape so I knew which wires were oil, temp., etc. Don't rush and it will go real smooth. If you intend on doing the rear struts though it is a bear to get the rear aprt as the main rod running through the outer end of the control arm siezes really bad. Hope this helps!!! Z'ON DOOD!!
