240Z-DET
I am currently in Vegas at the SEMA show and many companies are debuting their new equipment. There are companies showing anything from twin turbo V8 turn key engines to 16" rotors with 8 piston calipers. The new Mustang is by far the vehicle with the most floor coverage. The new C6 Corvette is SO much more sexy in person and Pro Charger already has an intercooled kit available for it. MSD is introducing an Opti Spark replacement for the LT1 distributor in February that will address the many shortcomings of the factory system. MSD is also introducing a LS1 multispark coilpack set up to replace the factory units. The LS1 is one of the most coveted engines at SEMA and many new parts either are or will be available for it. I met with many heavy hitters (i.e. Presidents, CEO's) in the industry at Pro Charger, Painless Wiring, Kuhmo Tires, MSD, Brembo and so many more. I walked away with a wealth of knowlegde but no products You can't blame a brother for tryin'. It takes literally three days to cover the entire show and even then you still have the outside events. What sucks is that someone stole my digital camera at the show and all of my pix of the cars are gone. There were many Skylines, Porsche Carrera GT's, Bentley GT's, 350Z's and C6 Vettes. One car of interest was a '04 righthand drive Skyline (G35) that had 14" rotors. One of the coolest cars out there was a Shelby Cobra that had a polished aluminum body that was mirror smooth. The NORAD Toyota Celica, Lisa Kubo's Saturn, Garrett's Sunfire were all at the show. The slowest of those cars runs 7.8's in the quarter and all of these are FWD 4 cylinders. AMS from Illinois had their Evo 8 on display there that runs 11.00 ET's. I saw a SICK tube frame '04 RWD WRX that should be complete soon. There were many top notch cars there that are scheduled to be in various magazines in the next few months. I'll have more to report tomorrow. I'm getting ready to hit the strip.
