260ZRED Posted November 8, 2004 Share Posted November 8, 2004 to sandblast all this $^*# Air compressor is a Craftsman 6.5 HP 60 gallon, 11.5 scfm @ 90 psi. Not bad for $300. Anybody got a sandblaster cabinet near Houston that they wanna get rid of? Also looking for all sorts of quality air tools and a hydraulic jack... technicalninja Posted November 8, 2004 Share Posted November 8, 2004 Iv'e got one of those compressors! Works pretty good but broke a rod within first year. Easy to work on and parts were reasonable. I also have a Harbor Freight Blast Booth that is not for sale but was only $200 new. Watch their website or flyers. It is not as nice as a Snap-On or an industrial unit but it was a fifth of their price! It is large enough to put an L series head in it. The blast booth can out run the compressor but it does it slowly and has not been a problem as my smaller 30 gal 5 hp comp was. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

jonzer12 Posted November 9, 2004 Share Posted November 9, 2004 I built one out of an old industrial control panel/cabinet. All said and done it cost me 75 dollars for the window, gloves and fittings. Took 2 afternoons to build and you can fit an engine in it. There isn't much too making one, and a good size retail cabinet can be very expensive.
