Guest tony78_280z
I wired mine strait to the ignition switch in the run spot. This is a dangerous method because it wont stop pumping gas until the car is turned off even if the motor is not running,.. and on fire. There is something about running power from the oil pressure switch or something like that to the fuel pump. I haven't gotten this far yet on my project. Do a search in the Chevy Conversion forum. datsunlover
I was thinkng about this the other day too.. I have my pump running off a rocker switch.. so if the engine stalls, or I 'forget' to turn it off, it just keeps on pumping.. I'm wondering if there's a way to 'jump' power somewhere off the ignition circuit somehow.. so if the engine is off, the pump will not get power.. Guest tony78_280z
Like I said. I hear that you some how run it off of the oil pressure switch or something. Lemme know if anyone finds out
Guest 240zJake
All you need is s voltage source that turn on with the engine and a relay. The relay has a switch section and a coil section, when the coil is energized it pulls the switch closed and turns on whatever is attached. 8)
