chrismoose17
I was wondering just how hard it was to make motor mounts yourself. i have a 79 280zx that i am going to put a 350 in. i have the money to buy a kit but i would rather do it myself and not spend all that money. anyone have any diagrams or anything. mobythevan
If you buy the conversion manual from JTR (jags that run) it has the templates inside for making your own mounts.

Moby, he's asking for ZX mounts, not the Z mounts. Do a search on the site and you should find the info you are looking for. Also, you can email the guys with the V8 ZX's. Ross Corrigan at http://www.modern-motorsports.com/catalog/default.php had a nice V8ZX and he could let you know what you need. Davy
labrat
You can do a search for my username, I also sbc swapped a ZX and did several write ups on it. Entirely different beast in the engine compartment, trust me. Bill

v8260z
I had a john's cars kit in mine but replaced the mounts with a motor plate, and I love it . You can set the motor where ever you choose ,also got a little more torque to the rear wheels.
