Guest Cronic
Here's the deal. I was driving down, and started to smell a small burning smell, I've smelled it before, checked everything out, and nothing was on fire or anything. Well this time, the car just stalls.... The fuel pump wont turn on now, I replaced the main relay, checked the voltage with the key on across the pump and the pump IS getting voltage. When I plug the pump directly to the batery it turns on and flows. I am at a complete loss. The ground didnt seem very stable so Im going to try another ground source.... I hope that works. Any information would be invaluable if you guys could help me out.
z-REX
sounds like what i went through. mine is now wired to a toggle on the console. it works like a charm... just have to remember to shut it off, as i forgot to do the week i put it in. another battery goes to heaven but at least it didn't burn the pump out (or blow up my car, for that matter!!! )
Guest Cronic
Fixed it. It was a bad ground to the pump itself. So I just made a new one.
