GoodGuyGary
Does anyone has idea how much it will cost to get the V-8 swap done professionally? Labor, parts, paint job, interior, new brakes, suspension, AC. I am talking about the kind of work like they do on "American Hotrods"? Any idea where I can look for the information or get a quote? I had been looking for it for a while. Thanks for your help.
JKDGabe
I don't know but I'll tell ya one thing: it'll be cheaper to buy it from someone who's already had it done.
Dudeboy
GoodGuyGary, You can try these guys http://www.dandos.com/Nissan/DatsunZ.html I have heard they do pretty good work, and what they do not handle they send over to Rebello. Rebello builds some pretty good L6 stroker motors. If you are not doing most of the work yourself, as stated look for one with most of the conversion completed and you put your spin on the car. Guest Magnum Rockwilder
I have a friend who runs a shop, and his customers' cars range from $20k-$100k depending on the level of fabrication. If you took him a Z and had him do all the work you said above, you'd probably spend about $25-$30k if you got a basic engine swap/paint/interior/suspension job. Guest bastaad525
Or you could find someone selling a complete or near complete car with v8 swap for $3000-7000.
