Thumper
I am thinking about getting the hks ssqv. I will have it vented to the atmosphere. I am trying to compare it to my 1g dsm bov. I know it will not leak at idle but I am unsure if it will fix the partial throttle opening of the bov. Basically when I accelerate slowly and the turbo starts to build boost the bov sees higher boost in the pipe than in the intake manifold so it opens up. Can anybody confirm if the hks has this problem also or if it does not have this problem. TIA Ted
Adimir
why not vent it back behind the compressor....i gotta look for a BOV too, but i want one that can be vented back, not the atmosphere
speeder
I use the SSQV (not recirculated, MAP sensor) and have had no problems like you describe. Venting is sharp and instantaneous when letting off the throttle.
Moridin
Its all in the adjustment, but my friend (who runs 15PSI out of a T3/T4 on his Volvo) and I (10PSI on my Honda) have not had the problems you describe with the HKS BOV. Plus, you can recirculate it with a little attatchment from HKS.
Guest Cronic
I use it with stock MAF sensor and all. Works fine on and off boost, low, part, and full throttle. Will not leak due to the way it's setup. I've run 26psi on it with no problems.
jtpaintballwdp
Do to the way the SSQBOV is designed (Pull instead of push) It is impossible for it to leak at any psi of boost!
