dr_hunt
Jap, how'd you end up polishing the roof with asphalt? I'd venture to say you in the 730HP range at the crank, and around 600+ to the wheels. Did you get a matching intake with the heads?
jap tin
A little oil on the track will ruin your day in a hurry. I got the HV 1801 intake with the 18X heads. With a 94" wb things get out of hand pretty quick. Going to strip it back down to the frame, replace the top front cage bar and have the frame powdercoated and stick it back together. There is only 19" between the main loop and the top front bar so there is no room for a funny car cage and still getting into the car. I have the rest of the bars for the new cirt but The funny car cage will make it dam near impossable to get in and out so I am stuck at the 8.50 cut off. The thing that pisses me off about the whole thing is that a car in my lane before me was all over the lane and they didn't check out the track, if no one wrecks send down the next pair. The Goodguys were trying to beat the rain at the Fuel and Gas Finals and my little roof trip was the result of them hurrying up the event. Scrubed off 120mph by putting it on the shinney side, a wopping 38mph upside down.
