Guest Anonymous
is it possible to modify an older car from the muscle car era to a 4 door? the rear doors don't have to have anything special (windows that roll down, arm rests, etc.) i'd just like an extra set of doors to make getting in and out easier
denny411
I`ve seen 4 into 2, but never 2 into 4. Why don`t you just get a 4 door to begin with? They are usually cheaper anyway. What car are you considering for the metamorphasis?
Guest Anonymous
i haven't really settled on any one car yet. every time i try and marrow my options some car on http://www.cars-on-line.com/ makes me reconsider so far i'm considering chevy camaro chevy nova ford mustang pontiac tempest pontiac le mans bascially any "muscle" car
denny411
Why not just get a chevelle 4 door? If you just don`t like the looks and would rather have a gto or some thing. you might try using a sister car?like the chevelle would be to the pontiac. then try to mold the doghouse, quarters and door skins from the pontiac to the chevy. I`m sure it can be done, but it would still be more than I would want to tackle. Nova, tempest and lemans all made 4 door cars. IMO,That would be the easiest route,Unless you have plenty of free time
Guest Anonymous
I saw a newer model 2door Grand Prix that had been converted to have suicide doors, down in a car show in Albuqurque. It looked good but you could tell itook ALOT of work, even for a pro shop!! On the back doors it had a huge single hinge, so if it got hit then good luck re-positioning it back. If you want a 4door then start with a 4door for simplicity, strength, and looks. I thought it was neat but also I would not want it on my car. Hope this helps, Mark
Guest greimann
If you were going to do that the easiest way of obtaining the needed doors, pillars, interior, roof structure.. etc. would be to obtain a donor car in good condition.... but then if you have the car.... get my drift? Guest Anonymous
I have seen some Minis and VW Beetles made into 4 doors but I don't really see the point.
