stagefumer11
When using .8 gap on my Ngk's Bp5ey's at 10psi my spark gets blowen out. Now ive gaped them to .6 and it ran to 18psi fine (as a test)....... Now id presume this is to weak of spark?, i have a Nice Bosh GT40R Coil, new leads plugs. Now i cannot get a new Dizzy cap and rotor which i guess i badly need. Would also bad grounding to the block cause this ?
Guest 305240
Are you running a resistor between the coil and dizzy? If you are, that would weaken your spark dramatically.
Guest tony78_280z
Do not underestimate the value of a good grounding. This is the first thing I'd check. You mention it as though you suspect it.
Guest billyzbear
I hope I'm reading your post wrong. .6 gap is large and .8 gap is very large. Should be around .44. I don't know your year, make and model. What dist. are you useing? Have you checked voltage at coil? Points or air gap? You mite want to look at Crane HI-6 or MSD 6a. Get good wires that have a solid steel core, 8 or 9 mm.
