Guest bpope
Hey guys, I am new to this board; but not new to the car community (father has always raced since I was born.) Anyways, I am graduating from college after 5 long years and have decided to do 240 or maybe a 260 Z, preferrably 240. Anyways, I have quite the dilemma with what motor to put in it. I would definately like to keep a Nissan motor in it because I am partial to them and i would want to be warmly welcomed at z-club events. I was thinking RB series engine. I have been doing searches on pricing an RB30et, as I would think they are a little more in my budget than an RB26dett. I kind of figured though- if I am going to do it, I might as well do it how I want and fork over the cash for the 26. I also thought that an l28et would be a good choice as well, because I think 400 horse out of them would be relatively feasible. Well, just wanted to say hey. I graduate in May and I wanted to start gathering as much info as possible to help build anticipation for my project. Glad to be a part of the Z community and I am glad to say that my girlfriend of 4 years got me hooked on Z's (she has an '93 NA Z and a 2002 350z). Talk to you guys later. innerware
welcome aboard. What did you study at college? I can't say anything about the rb engines, but wanted to say hello. I am sure you are aware of the search feature. If not check it out. Most people here want us all to live by it for simple stuff, or stuff in general since so much has allready been covered. There are some guys here with nice rb setups, so I hope they will help. Good luck and have fun. You going to be able to find a good Z out there in MO? Road trip to Cali? Guest bpope
Thanks for the welcome guys. I am studying Marketing/Sales. Innerware, it is probable that I will have to head to the West Coast to find a Z that isn't all rusted up. I do look forward to learning some and getting to know everyone better.
