Guest MCTomTom
I talked to a guy at an scca race last summer, and he said that he put six '89 240sx pistons in his L28, his compression was crazy! I can't remember what it was, but it was pretty high. and along with some other upgrades, but he said he was pushing 290 hp. Is this a good idea? Has anyone else ever heard of it? I'm not going to try it because I just got my engine reinstalled, just an idea for you guys, but don't take my word for it, this was the first time I had ever heard of it. bjhines
I came within a hair of buying a set of KA-24 flat tops for my current project L-28/E-31/SUs... with a standard L-28 crank the compession was acceptable...but the piston would be almost 2mm below deck with the longer 240 rods...no squish effect.. I have 2 sets of L-24 rods and I was willing to bastardize 2 engines...l28 and l24.... I think I am just going to slap the cammed E-31-(with big valves) on the 1mm oversize flattop L28....I can get away with pump gas I am pretty sure... Drax240z
This topic has been beaten to death and there are some really good threads on this site discussing it. Search and ye shall find. No need to keep this one going...
