Guest Matt Millen
Does anyone have any experience or information on a "speedster" type windshiel on a convertible 240Z?

CruxGNZ
This may help: The Silver Shadow EDIT: There's only two that I know of that were laid down. The Silver Shadow and another project across the pond in which the guy actually chopped the top and used a widshield from another make of vehicle . Pictures and information are on this site, you just need to click the search button. !M!
DavyZ
Does anyone have any experience or information on a "speedster" type windshiel on a convertible 240Z? There IS a pic of a green convertible 240Z at MSA with a chopped windshield. I found it here: http://www.zparts.com/events/wcn2002/promo/index.html Davy

jhaag
For what its worth.....I spoke to someone at the 2004 MSA show who I think was the owner of the green convertible. I asked if the windshield was cut down or if it was sunk into the body (ala some hot rods). The person said the windshield had been cut using water jet technology by a firm in the LA area but that they broke one windshield before they got it right. Yep, that's the one I was talking about--it had to cut down from an original windshield. Waterjet technology is the coolest thing since sliced bread; being able to cut through thick metal or glass--just about anything using water is sweet!! Is this the same Matt Millen who has a great blue 240Z V8 convertible? Just wondering. Davy
