Zhadman
I ran across this article today and found it a bit interesting. http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_2188/article.html
mtcookson
just hearing the name makes really good ides run through my head. without reading i know right off that a very good thing about doing something like that would be keeping the bov shut when cruising with partial vacuum (this would keep from having to do some tricky tuning to keep the car from running lean due to metered air being released. other things would probably be quicker response time. i'll read it now and see if i was close. lol
Zhadman
IIRC many of the current aftermarket BOV's don't have much of an issue with releasing metered air into the engine compartment. There was a post (found in my search) where the HKS SSQV was discussed: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=97342&highlight=bov It was mentioned that the design prevented it from venting under partial throttle (vacuum). THAT, however... is the another topic. I think an electronic valve would be a good idea and I wonder why I haven't heard more about it. Seems, to me atleast, to be the logical evolution of the units common today.
Guest Cronic
I don't like the idea personally. btw. Metered air being released would cause a rich condition. not lean.
Guest Cronic
Not to mention, the valves they have listed on that page, are just too small IMHO. You would need a ~2.25" diameter to vent the charge fast enough.

randy 77zt
what type of bov do they use on the world rally cars-the are probably controled by the ecm.while looking at specs for new efi system most state that the will control a bov.i like the noise they make.
