660Z
Can the stock rear coilsprings be used up front? I`m selling my stock 240z this spring and I have to do the struts. The front springs on the car now are from another make car entirely (previous owner was setting it up for a v8) so needless to say the front sits high. I was going to cut the coils but I have a rear strut (280z) set in the junk pile from a rear change and I was thinking I could use those springs instead of cutting the ones on the car. Anyone know? Thanks,Mark
2126
The springs will physically fit however, the rear springs are typically a higher rating and are slightly longer than the front springs. Avoid cutting springs....it's just a poor practice...as in shade tree type mechanics.
