Is there a difference in the Watanbe wheels and the 70s racer wheels?

am i the only one to notice this? the Watanabe wheels(which are totally sweet) and the old school 8 spokes that some zs from the 70s had, are they the same or are there differences?

wantanabes aka want'a'bes int he 8 spoke your mention is similar to the old school european Minilites, which has been replicated by just about everyone, the newer Konig rewinds (which are about the cheapest), panasport, shelby, superlite and I am sure more, there are differences in them if you look closely, the panasports, minilites, and superlites are the best looking models in my opinion
