Guest steve 78 280z 2+2
I have a 78z 280z, FI, L28. Don't have manual. Any tips of removing it. I heard you need to jump wires to release fuel pressure. Any past experience would be helpful. thanks Steve 78 280z 2+
COZY Z COLE
To depressurize 280Z use this link. http://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/fuellinedepressure/index.html Remove the 2 screws securing the valve to intake manifold and unfasten clamp and remove valve from the fuel hose. Have a small container to catch any fuel left in the fuel hose. Reverse steps to install..... LARRY
Guest steve 78 280z 2+2
thanks for the tip Larry. Changed the cold start valve with no problem, however.....Why is it still running rough in the morning? I thought the cold start valve woould solve this problem. Any tips??? steve f. COZY Z COLE
If it idles rough but revs good check the bellows between the air box and the throttle body. This is metered air and any cracks in it will mess the mixture up. Take the bellows off and check for cracks and replace it if needed. Guest steve 78 280z 2+2
o.k. I also changed my AFM, along with my cold start valve. However my MPG have gotten worse. What else do I need to adjust. With high gas prices on the rise, I need some help. thanks Steve F. Escondido, Ca
