Guest JAMIE T
I'm doing the port and polish on my RB26 head and when it goes back together, I'm going to need valve stem seals. Also, I might add that the ports on this head are nicely shaped only needing alot of massaging in the bowl. Also, the chamber needs the ridge left from the valve seat installation(OE) smoothed out. I knocked the quench pad off the intake side and rounded over the exhaust side to elemenate hot spots. I smoothed the casting flaws in the intake ports. I ground the lump out of the exhaust side and cleaned up the short side radius on all the ports. Later, I'll post pics of before and after. Mack
dont quote me on this, but Ive heard from several swap shops in my area as well as people who have RB25DET's in 240sx's that VG30DE stuff is the same. Its a starting point at least. that stuff should be available prettymuch anywhere.
cheftrd
Jamie, Why not just buy the 26 seal set? It's easy to get these parts from a number of importers, including myself. RB26 valve seals I keep in stock and would only take a week or so to get to you.
Guest JAMIE T
Great point Matt. I sent you a pm. Let me know what you come up with on them. Also would you please get me a price on a head gasket? Whatever is the hot ticket for 600hp, stock bottom end?
Mack
I really dont mean to threadjack, but If you can get parts for RB motors, how much are aftermarket cams? is there a difference between RB20 and 25 and 26 stuff? Ive got something brewing.......
