warrenp Posted March 16, 2005 Share Posted March 16, 2005 hey, hoping some one here might be able to straightne me out on this? i just aquired a maserati ZF 5 speed. 45,000 mile we took it from the car. it was a bi-turbo engine. we are looking to sell it but i havn't found any info on this transmission. i know corvette's used a ZX 6 speed. but thats about all i know. is this worth anything? does it have any proformance potential? I'm not sure about the Maserati ZF... but if it is the same transaxle the Pantera ZF this is a very desirable gearbox for people building mid-engined kit cars like the Pantera or the GT40. I'm not sure about the Maserati ZF... but if it is the same transaxle the Pantera ZF this is a very desirable gearbox for people building mid-engined kit cars like the Pantera or the GT40. nope it's just a RWD tranny. i havn't heard much about them i donno if they made many or what the proformance potiential is? is it compairable to the t-5 world class?? or t-10? i'm really lost on this one. i think it's geard really high, the speedo said 160 and a friend of mine owned the car said it would do all of that.
