Guest Anonymous
I am possibly going to do a Buick V6 powered Triumph TR7 using the John's Cars kit. Anyone heard anything good or bad about this kit or the company? Thanks. here is the link btw: http://www.johnscars.com/tr7/tr7new.htm
Phantom
I saw two old TR-7's with V-8/auto conversions in them sitting in the yard next to his shop. You might contact him and see what he wants for one of them. Between his car and yours you could probably end up with something pretty nice for not a lot of money. DavyZ
I had a TR7 that I was going to do John's V6 conversion to---probably would be better than the V8 IMO. For a TR7 conversion, I'm sure his kit is great, but stay away from his Z car conversion kit, since there are better ones for the money. His is the only TR7 kit I have seen, and I'm pretty sure it is well thought through after I did the research about it. I can't remember anything bad regarding the kit. It would be a great conversion, but make sure you don't get the V6 T5---make a V8 T5 input shaft work with the V6 and you'll be miles ahead in the reliability department. Just my $.02.
