Guest 73Turbo240z
I need to see a turbo L28 assembled, in or out of the engine bay, doesn't matter, just trying to gauge how much room i do or don't have.
Z Driver
I have some pictures in my gallery of my turbo engine on a stand, but it's technically not a long block because the oil pan and head are on it.

DarrellBuddy321
hey quick question what intake manifold is that? Is that a stock intake manifold without an egr? what year is that?
Z Driver
hey quick question what intake manifold is that? Is that a stock intake manifold without an egr? what year is that? It's a semi-custom piece. The casting is W-42 and I believe it came from an '81. The webbing has been plasma cut out and the EGR has been cut off and welded. All the emissions devices have been removed and it has a 240SX TB. The fuel rail is JSK.
Guest PBGreg21
It seems like cutting out the webbing could be bad because it would let hot air flow around the intakes instead of just the bottom of the manifold. I guess the heat would escape fast enough to not make a diffrence tho.

Guest PBGreg21
Andrew we should have max whip one of those up from that extra manifold we have.
Guest 73Turbo240z
coatings to the intake and exhaust manifolds + wrap on the manifold and turbo should produce a relatively stable cooler side i'd think.

Guest 73Turbo240z
here is my longblock all assembled before going into the car coatings or paint on your intake and exhaust manifolds?
DarrellBuddy321
is that one an n42 intake? So from my understanding as long as you have a good BOV you can use the n42 intake manifold and not really worry about the turbo manifold with the pov. Is the the only provision on a turbo intake manifold?
