Guest SpyderZ
My 280ZXT overheating once in awhile. The thermostat is not openning up sometimes and I have to shut the engine off for it to get opened. I put in a new thermostat and it did the same thing. I am now running without it and the car is fine. Anyone have any explanation for this? Thanks

Guest SpyderZ
Cozy, Thanks for the link. There's some good info on that site and I 've read it before too. I was going to get an OEM thermostat and put it to see any difference but I changed my mind. The problem I have with this car is the thermostat opens up too late. This is a just rebuild motor with new radiator, good mechanical fan and an electric fan in the front of the radiator. Anyway this car will only be driven in the summer and nice weather so I don't really need the thermostat. Thanks V.
