Juiced
Tranny Swaps, Hey guys i have a quick question, I don't really know how much i can trust the tranny on a used a sr20det, i was thinking of putting either a Supra ZF tranny or a t56 out of of a 93 Transam with the M29 Gears, Ok first of i know that i'll need an adaptor plate to make it work, but my question is with the clutch and imput shaft, are all tranny imput shafts universal, ie # of splines to the flywheel? or would i need a custom clutch or could i just swap disks [sr20det pressureplate & flywheel and t-56 friction disk (as long as it was the right diameter)] I'm really looking for a 6 spd and have heard the Sr trannies are weak can anydoby offer any help? SR240Z
there is a lot of ranting on how the sr 6speed trannies are weak, but they arent, 6th is pretty much an overdrive. for the SR you dont really need a 6speed, you would need the rear end from an s15 to use the sr 6spd because the speed sensor is in the differential.
