  1. V4 2 stroke Snowmobile motor! those things fly and some make 270hp http://www.aaenperformance.com/V4_racing_engine.asp
  2. That looks Good. I really don't mind some added pressure as long as the feel is good.
  3. That and my car was originally an auto and i will be going with a t56 so i need the clutch pedal.
  4. Well, first of the lt1 is better suited for boost than the ls1. the lt1 head is a traditional SBC head with 5 head bolts per cyl. the ls1 only has 4. The LS1 make alot of power NA and on nitrous. Building an lt1 is cheaper than an LS1 for power. and Opti sparks tend to go out real quick if you rev the motor hi alot. these are all things to consider i'm sure there's more but i'm hungry and have to go eat lunch. Check LS1 tech in the FI section alot to learn about Boosting the LS1 engine.
  5. how's the leg room under there? Because of my cam choice i'll have to run a vacum canister because the engine doesn't rpoduce enough so i rather just go with a better pedal assembly and ditch the canister.
  6. for .1 inches i would have started grinding at something.... the performance gains if a ls1 to an ls6 is about 15hp and abou the same in tq. that ls1 manifold really dies uptop.
  7. Is anyone running the wilwood/cnc/tilton pedal assembly? I was thinking of doing the single clutch dual brake assembly to eliminate the need for a booster and have the front and rear brakes each with there own master. My biggest concern is with fitment because i'm tall and room is already limited under the dash so i want to retain a comfortable driving position. Any input is welcome. Here is an example http://www.wilwood.com/Products/005-PedalAssemblies/002-FSMP/dual/index.asp
  8. ZFIRE-15-20K thats way to high i've done the numbers with 20% contingancy for this build including suspension and body work and i'm at about 12k Dale- the LS6 intake isn't any larger than the ls1 intake, atleast not that i've seen. the FAST manifold is about .5" taller than the ls6 but thats about it. I'm going to look into that......
  9. I've pulled Many Vette Motors and that Oil Presure sending unit does not look at all familiar. Is that a datsun one? Mine has a norrmal 2 pin sealed connector.
  10. thanks i guess the sanderson block huggers it is..... how much grinding is actualle necessary to make them fit properly?
  11. I wouldn't mind some reduced ground clearance. i'm use to driving a slammed C5 so that won't be an issue. I was looking at the Pacesetter camaro headers and they might work but i'm not to sure.
  12. I thought i remember seeing someone who sold longtube headers for the LS1 in the Z, has anybody tried the hooker headers to see if they fit?
  13. Ok I Spent 3 days using the search function and trying to find as much info as possible on Long Tube Headers For the LS1 and wasn't able to find anything. I'm having a LS1 w/ t-56 swaped into my Z and have not found anything regarding longtubes for it. I' know how important headers are to the LS1 my C5 gained 20rwhp and 25lb/ft tq when i installed my Kooks Headers. Does Anybody know of anyone who makes longtubes headers for the LS1 in the Z. Or does anybody know of any F-body headers that might fit?
  14. All of you LS1 Guys how does the stock master hold up to the line pressure required to move the clutch. Any issues not getting full dis-engagement.

Oh ok, well i;m not really planning any Hi torque launches seeing as how my motor really won;t make any real power till about 6k. Can someone post up a list of what is needed for the swap. I would like to get them form one souce at one time if possible.
