exodus1500 Posted April 25, 2005 Share Posted April 25, 2005 am i going to have any clutch problems with this? i got a doner car and it was an automatic, but didnt come with the tranny... and in my 240z i have the 4 speed manual... with the extra HP is it going to slip or fry itself right away? also, what do i have to do to get the new engine which was hooked up to an automatic, to work with the manual? thanks. Z-Gad Posted April 26, 2005 Share Posted April 26, 2005 If your clutch was in good shape, then it should be fine for a stock boosted zxt. Once you start raising the boost, then it will not hold the torque. The only thing that you really need to remember is to remove the auto flexplate spacer that is connected to the crankshaft prior to bolting on the flywheel and that you'll have to install a pilot bushing into the crankshaft of the auto motor for the transmission.
