COZY Z COLE
This shows how RIO VISTA MUFFLER mounted my modified new 60 in. PATRIOT sidepipes. The primary headers are 1 5/8 in. to 2 1/2 in. pipes and 2 1/2 in. collectors, the sidepipes are 3 in.. Right before the notched frame rails a flex expansion joint was added to take the engine twists and turns. The sidepipes are on hangers for easy removal of them. This set-up is flush with the body. Owner of the shop , BOB LAPP, did a great job. Upgrade to 10 lbs blower boost coming soon to a ricer near you...... LARRY
Turbo Meister
Larry, Looks great. Does it sound any different? Or still as good as before? Hanns
COZY Z COLE
The loudness of them has been reduced and the idle has went from 750 to 600 rpms. I have no clue as to how old or how bad the internals were on the other set but I did have an exhuast leak on one. With the blower pulley change I'll be dynoing it and check the a/f ratio for adjustments. Have no fear I'll post a new dyno video and a "spanking" practice run video in the near future... azguy
How much ground clearance are you getting with that set-up? I need to redo mine when I get it back from the tranny shop.
COZY Z COLE
The exhuast pipes are 4 1/2" and the sidepipe cover is 4". The labor cost for removing old sidepipes, new custom mounting hardware, flex joints, and installation was $425.00 LARRY
titanium
Sorry if this is a dumb question but does the exhaust on sidepipped cars ever cause premature tire wear on the rears? Seems like they'd get lots of heat in their direction.

Guest 305240
Larry, where can I find a set of those flex joints like yours?
Sparks280zt
Larry, not sure if you have fume problems in your Z, but have you noticed any with those side pipes?
COZY Z COLE
Larry, where can I find a set of those flex joints like yours? I'll get back to you later today...... Never had any fuel or exhaust fume problems. My problem now is the need for AFR heads on account of going to 10 lb boost. LARRY
