Guest SUNNY Posted May 6, 2005 Share Posted May 6, 2005 A very common mistake is to forget the remove the coil ground from the "old" distributor when installing the "new" one. This steel metal strap connects the coil to ground by way of the terminal on the distribtor cap. If missing, your best way to get this strap is go to the junkyard.
