ihatejoefitz
i went to the junk yard and pulled a sensor that i found in the throttle body of a 2001 chevy cavalier, it had 4 wires so im assuming this is the heated oxygen sensor. my question is, where did everyone else mount thiers? would the IC piping be an ok place? grumpyvette
that 4 wire sensor is much more likely to be an IAC (idle air control)
mario_82_ZXT
That is not an oxygen sensor. The oxygen sensor will be located in the exhaust system. Some cars have one before and after the catalystic converter. Check megasquirt.info and in the MegaManual they have different pics of GM style fidle devices. The only things that pertain to MS on the intake side is the air temp sensor and a vacuum line for the map. Mario

mario_82_ZXT
You can also use the stock one, I forgot to tell you, but it takes longer to heat up and can't really be too good for tuning idle. (Thats why the new ones are heated) Mario
