Guest 305240 Posted May 13, 2005 Share Posted May 13, 2005 Ahh, the days of old when every kid had a chance at the strip. If you knew someone was running a 302, you knew you were going to get beat. BUT! You just had to run him anyway to see how close you could get to him. I've seen some built 283's scream also. The 327's were death to everyone on the stock car tracks. I got a chance to pick up a freshly rebuilt 283 (Now a 288 with a 3/4 cam and power pak heads) for 200 bux. I think I'll just pickle it and save it for some special project. The only pistons, before now that i could find, were way too high compression, I couldnt find a price on those, and jegs dosnt have a matching part number.
