ZR8ED
I'm just in way too deep with my Z. Now that I'm a member of the newly single group (2 yrs) I think I've totally lost my mind. To say I am focused on my Z is a huge understatement. With that said, I've made some observations on this and the other Z forums (like there are actually other types of forums.. hehe) that I hang out at. This is not a jab at anyone, but wow do you guys have a lot of other projects on the go!! some multiple projects at the same time!!! How the heck can you do it? I can't imagine another project holding my Z project back... A 1 week delay is too much let alone years.. I'd think it'd be the death of me.. I can't focus properly on more than one project/toy, let alone have the $$ to spend on multiple projects. My Z is expensive enough. Chime in here folks if you'd like to tell me how you do it? Now I do have other hobbies that I enjoy. sailing, mountain biking, rollerblading, skiing, computers/web surfing, but nothing will stop me and my Z.. even if I have to eat kraft dinner and P&J sandwiches for a month to get a part for the z. I guess there is nothing really wrong with multiple projects.. as long as they don't bog you down, and you end up with eternal projects that never see the light of day and are lost to newer cool projects. Am I a Serial Z lover?.. am I over the top when it comes to my Z's? I suspect that I might be the crazy one... Like a fat guy playing dodge ball... I'm out! (thanks to who ever made that above statement..I love it!!hehe) Peace.
Guest nezzie76
I'm not sure how I manage my time. I'm in school, working and attempting to have a social life. I don't know how I find the time to work on 3 cars. Granted sometimes I can mix them; like taking auto paint classes and meeting girls at street races, but I still get work done on the car too. The real problem is finding enough money for school and 3 cars AND dating all at the same time w/ meager pay.
Guest comeandzpa
is it even possible to love z's too much?
Wagz
I haven't been able to touch my Z for a full month (possibly longer) and it's causing me some serious frustration. Having a job that requires that I show up on a regular basis and being married with kids are the biggest reasons I don't get to touch the car. Not a day goes by that I don't day-dream about working on the Z and visit this forum. But, there is an endless list of honey-do's (gotta keep the family peace), kid related stuff and traveling for work. I just do what I can, when I can and hope that my car turns out Pete's on a timeline unlike Pete's (no offence, Pete )
Guest Drewz
I know what you are saying but sometimes the car doesn't even come second place. My Z has been idle for most of the year but i own my own buisness and this year 2 competitors are shutting down which relly keeps me busy. I have a BEAUTIFUL baby boy now almost 6 months, my 4x4 shredded the rear diff, detroit locker and transfer case. The truck got all of my Z money over the last couple months but the garage is now insulated, wired, heated and new welder on the way for a long winters run. I thought I would never say this but the car will always come second to spending time with my little guy. Sh*t happens but I would never sell it and it may take longer than I like but it will live again.
