Guest Stoker3.0Z
Ok now that I've read all the posts to my previous thread..lol I have another question b/c of some friends comments. Should I keep the 2.8 FI or is carbing it a good idea? I am building a stroker motor and it will not have a stock part on the engine if I can help it. It will be a street car as well as a track car. It won't be driven much, probably like 2 days a week and just cruising or racing. I have decided to go with the 10.5 compression ratio set-up and a pretty wild cam...as wild as I can go without taking away low end drivability. If you need any more info on the car let me know. It isn't built yet...hell it isn't really started yet. I'm just trying to establish a well defined path for me to follow and learn as much as I can before getting to deep. Thanks alot, Stroker3.0Z
datsunlover
If you're talking about using the stock 280z FI, no way it is going to be good to run a stroker. It would not like a big cam either.. But If you're talking aftermarket/programable, then yah, I'm sure FI would be ok. Personaly, I'd go with carbs. They work, Sould really cool sucking air in,and there's the 'wow' factor too when you pop the hood.
