Floor was cutout. Where to mount tank?

Well the 240z that I bought had the rear floor cutout and replaced with an aluminum one. Right now the tank is just held on by a ratcheting strap. From what I understand the tank should be mounted with steel straps to the floor where the spare tire should be which is no longer there. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to mount it? Should I get some straps and try to somehow get them on there or just try to make something to mount it?

Here's a couple pics in case I'm just missing something and everything to mount it is right there.

Looks like the new aluminum floor was put in with some sheet metal screws (Can't really weld it in, can you?). Maybe it's time to pick up a fuel cell and ditch the stock tank? The absence of trunk floor would make this job somewhat easier.

That being said... if the hardpoints for the original steel straps are still there you might be able to use them. Depending on how well the angle-iron supports are attached it might be sufficiently strong.

Now that I think about it... the mounting points for the straps are probably long gone by now (with the original floor). You would have to find alternate locations and fabricate something new in order to retain the tank using the stock method.

Yeah I don't know maybe I can drop a cell on top of those two bars that go along there and somehow mount it up from there.

And yeah that floor is in with sheetmetal screws. An odd setup, but I guess it works. Just kinda sucks now that I have to mount the tank somehow else. Maybe I can weld it in someday, I don't really know welding now, but hey there's always time to learn and I'm sure I will by the end of this car.
