Guest LT1-10AE
Hey gang... I'm a lurker so bear with me I've searched around and found a few sets of long tube headers you guys are running, but I haven't quite found the information I'm looking for yet. Here's my setup: 1988 Mazda RX-7 10th Anniversary 1995 LT1/T56 Current headers: Hedman #69640 shorties My current headers fit great, but they're awful small and they seem to choke down on the top end according to the butt dyno. I haven't seen a set of long tubes on an LT1 powered 2nd gen RX-7 6 speed yet that weren't custom made. The big problem is the clutch slave. The driver's collector needs to go UNDER the slave as the slave has about a pencil's width between it and the tunnel. Has anyone run across a set of long tubes that come down that far? The only long tubes for the 2nd gens are the ones Granny's sells, but require you to switch over to an internal hydraulic TOB in order to use them. Mike kZ
You maybe on your own, I know JTR sells an LS1 header, maybe if you change the flange it could work? http://www.jagsthatrun.com/Mazda-RX7-LS1-V8_Order.html
DaleMX
The LT1 and the LS1 have a different pattern. The LS1 is equal spaced like a Ford or a BBC.
