snork Posted July 30, 2005 Share Posted July 30, 2005 My car has been parked for a year (tranny went to hell). Itll start, but not very well. It wont idle and it wont go past 3 grand. It does smoke a little, but it didnt when i parked it. I have replaced the computer, injectors, the hose from the airfilter to the manifold, damn near all the vacum hoses and spark plugs. What gives? snork Posted August 6, 2005 Author Share Posted August 6, 2005 i have ran it long enough for it to be burning the fresh fuel that i put in it. going to check the timing today, and the cap. it will rev up just fine the first six seconds after it has been started the first time. after that, it acts like the timing is off, just chokes and sputters and back fires.
