Synlubes Posted December 20, 2002 Share Posted December 20, 2002 A quick turn around three and Rinker headed for home. Into turn four he went while still full on the gas about 131 mph. He took the corner wide as to not scrub off much speed. Suddenly the boat caught some air. He let off the throttle. The rear of the boat went down, but the front end lifted. It caught too much air and was off the water. Heading straight for the filled grandstands Rinker cranked the steering wheel hard left. It was too late.
