Guest the_dj
Where exactly do the mirrors go on the front fenders? Does anyone have any measurements from the original 240? Past that, I'm going to have to go based on pics. Thanks, Sam Example of mirrors: http://zhome.com/picturelibrary/L_240ZG.jpg Pic of my Z as is: http://s93439382.onlinehome.us/images/car/frontpassengernew.jpg
CruxGNZ
Alan Thomas helped me out with this one when I mounted my fender mirrors. Here is the post that he made click here Just remember, his Z is RIGHT HAND DRIVE, so the measurements are reversed for us in the US. Post #8 on that link gives you the picture attachment that you need. EDIT: The attachment on post #22 is what you need for the LHD Z car. !M! Guest the_dj
Those mirrors are different from the ones I have, aren't they? Where can I get those, or should I just use mine since they are the same style? The guy doing my bodywork wouldn't have any problem using either. Opinion? Edit: I sent a message to Zedd Findings. We'll see how that turns out...
CruxGNZ
The mirrors look to be the same as I have (JDM) and what Alan has on his factory ZG. I installed them per Alan's measuements and they are spot on, even though the location of the mirrors are not symetrical, as one would assume. !M! Guest the_dj
omg i hate to think how much that car is worth..... I voted to have the flares and nose painted to match the body, since too many people leave body kits completely unpainted it was just going to give the wrong idea if I had them done black. Also, the chrome trim is going to black trim, including the headlight cover edge. It'll be different, but it'll accent the color I'm having the car done quite well. But I wasn't doing that for a particular look of another car. Have pics of what you mean? > Tail lights are the 280Z ones AFAIK. Car is going to look a looottt different a month from now. Same body kit is about all that'll look "the same."
