Anyone Consider An Electronic Power Steering System?

I WAS LOOKING AT MY VISTEON PRODUCT CATALOG AT SOME PARTS FOR WORK WHEN I CAME ACROSS ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING RACKS. SO I FOUND THIS ON THEIR WEBSITE: http://www.visteon.com/products/automotive/media/power_steering_spec.pdf

 

I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE CONSIDERED/DID THIS BEFORE. WOULD IT BE WORTH IT? IT ALSO SAYS THAT THE STEERING SPEED, FEEL, ETC. CAN BE PROGRAMMED AND CONTROLLED FROM A LAPTOP.

I know SW20 MR2s have electic powersteering. If you wanted to put together a system from junkyard components theres one alternative.

 

I can live without powersteering in my Z though, unless I have to park it in a tight space O_o'

Granted I Don't Need Power Steering.... But If I Ever Stepped Up To Larger Tires I Would.

I think MR2 just has an electric pump (which would be much easier to do at a retrofit application), NSX and S2000 (probably more) have fully electronic racks. Any of the electric/hybrid cars would've had them as well I'd imagine.
