AnTmanS130T
I run a 89turbo reprogrammable ecu on the 280 and I have been wanting to add some type of knock detection system. I know casper electronics has a few for grandnationals which would work and MSD has a knock detection system, I am curious if anyone runs one or has experience with them. I would use the stock detonation circuitry but that cannot be used with my car. I plan to increase the boost pretty high and have been debating whether I want to build my own methanol injection kit or go with a few options ( money depending ) Either way listening to detonation isn't good enough and will not always be heard so I would like to do things the right way. I would need to use an existing threaded port on the block, that I have not seen or figured out yet.
proxlamus©
im wondering the same question.. do I have to re-thread a new hole in my block?! how can I do this?
Scottie-GNZ
The Caspers knock system is a good unit and popular with the GN crowd. However, note the bold type at the bottom and be aware that it wires it to the GN ESC (Electric Spark Control) circuitry. https://www.casperselectronics.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=102001&Category_Code=8687GN_Perf
