ProjectSR20
Hey guys. I was wondering what you are doing for a driveline with your SR20 swaps? I am guessing that you cannot use the stock one. Can anyone give me any ideas on what they have done or where I can find one that will work? Thanks.
Guest cturbo28
I just had my stock 260 Z drive shaft shortened to 19" and some change. The splines were the same as the SR's. I suspect it to break but I will deal with that when it does. I think I paid 50 bucks or so at the local driveshaft shop.
ProjectSR20
I was thinking of doing the same but the strength is what I am concerned about. If you get a competent shop that welded it correctly would it compromise the strength? I was thinking of the MSA aluminum shaft being cut and shortened. Anyone think this would be worth looking into? Guest 81na ZX
Any good driveshaft shop will make you a cutom AL shaft perfect length for cheaper than buying a MSA one and having it chopped up. Call around.
