18" wheels

Hi

i'm about to purchase some zg flares and want the widest tyres i can possibly squeeze under them. This obviously means i need wide rims too.

I really have my heart set on some 17X7inch wheels but they will only accomodate a tyre of a certain width (I think the guy said 235).

There is an 18X8 inch version that can take wider tyres (obviously) however i dont really want 18s. thats kind of crazy on a z isnt it?

The car will be used for the street 99% of the time.

My question is this: does anyone here run 18" wheels?

If so how are they? is it a bone jarring ride? Does it look funny on a z?

Thanks in advance.

The Only Way We Can Tell You If There Is A 18" Version Of The Wheel You Want Is If You Actually Post The Wheel You Want....

There Are A Few Members With 18" Wheels, Just Search Around And You Will Find Them.

I didn't think the wheel I had in mind was relevant. just the fact that it is 18"

I always thought 17" wheels on a z was pushing it. The idea of 18" wheels seems kinda crazy to me thats all...

Ohh, I Must Have Misread What You Typed... Anyway, Yes 18's Fit. There Is Even A Member With 19's, Your Just Not Going To Have Much Of A Ride. Offset And Width Is Pretty Critical Though So You Have To Measure Twice And Purchase Once.

Just From Research With A 8" Wide Wheel In Stock Arches You Need ~+8mm To +12mm Offset Depending On Coilovers, Fender Rolling, Etc. With Zg Flairs You Have .5"-1" More Well To Fill So Your Offset Would Be A ~-13mm To -17mm.
