Guest zeh ex
im looking for a rebuilt bottom end of a L28ET. I cant find any on the internet. I was wondering if anyone would know where to look or if they can tell me about some rebuilders that i can hit up. My plan is to have my current N/A l28e head modded then bolted onto this bottom end. TheNeedForZ
You are not looking for a "rebuilt" block. What you want is a long block, and then you rebuild it. A "rebuilder" is a machinist. Ask local speed shops or people who race to find out which machine shop is good, and which one to avoid, etc. There is a guy who posted for sale a 280zxt block(only the block) for 50$CDN a while ago on Ontario Z car club, the ad is gone now but maybe he'll post again sometime later. http://books.dreambook.com/zcar/classified.html I haven't seen anyone who sells long block on eBay neither, usually it's the whole assembly. 240hoke
Why dont you just rebuild your block and go to a dished piston to drop the compression down. In many cases you might be able to do all the rebuilding yourself. The only thing you really need to have a machinest for is to bore the block out. But this might not even be nessecary, you can chekc hte taper of your cylinders with a micrometer and see what needs to be done. -Austin
Z-Gad
Here's a set of turbo pistons and rods. The auction ends later today, so you gotia hurry. Just put these in your block and viola "turbo bottom end". http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=8005665539&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT
