patzky1 Posted October 12, 2005 Share Posted October 12, 2005 Hey all, My dad just got his tranny (a first-year electronic 700R4, M20) rebuilt by a friend and now it does NOT shift into gears 2 and 4 It used to before the rebuild, though. Now it will just rev way up in 1st until you let off the gas then it goes to 3rd and won't go to 4th. Supposedly this is because of a bad seal somewhere?? or some electronic component in the valve body, but I don't know which one that could be. I have rebuilt a THM350, but never a 700, and it was cake for me. The thing is, this guy will not be available to work on it for a while and I would rather just do it myself to help the old man out. So, if anybody has expertise on this I would like a point in the right direction as far as parts purchasing and repair goes.
