Guest traub83
I am just currious as to a very simple build up of how much power this would yield.. now this isnt for a Z in fact it wont even be my car but you guys are the only ones I feel would know... This engine is going into a 2800 pound s10 tubbed and all with 3.50 gears and 27" tall tires... truck sits hella low.. anyways We put together a Motown block with 9.0:1 compression arias pistons, Scat H beam rods, 350 standard steel crank. then he bought the Holley systemmax 2 performance system from summit. a 750 holley 4150 carb. then he bought a Vortech supercharger for a carb setup!! he will be running 7psi on the street to the strip, then 14psi at the strip on race fuel!! Please let me know if you would need any more info on this build but how much power is he looking at with this build and what kind of et's would you expect with it given he tractions up good and is a good driver... Ohh yah he has my old 700r4 tranny for it... Its build pretty stout also so i dont see it breaking as I ran a 500hp 350 and a 300 shot of nitrous through it in a vega for darn near a whole season before I sold the car and motor but kept the tranny.... Any Idea's guys???
grumpyvette
you need to tell us what cam is used, and which style of vortec supercharger (V1-v2-v3-v4-v5) but guessing at a few things and assuming youll want a mild performance cam your looking at aproximately 500hp/500tq at 10 psi boost
Guest traub83
well the cam that comes with the kit is .494 lift and has a duration of 284. the version of the supercharger is a V-2. the systemmax kit supposed to make 425hp with just the kit before the supercharger, I know this is at the crank im sure but still if ya thorw a blower on it im sure 500hp would be an easy task! Guest traub83
correction the supercharger he has is the V-7 Ysi and the kit part number isGP218 -010YS Its a really sweet lookin blower gave me the idea to just buy one of those for my car but twin turbo is just soo much more appealing to me... But I will be droppin in this motor in the next 2 weeks sometime.. So far I almost have the longblock completed then its bolt of assessorys and drop it in the s10 then add the blower and tune and well you all know.... Anyways anyother guesses at HP this thing is gonna pump out on 93 octane??
