CruxGNZ
Man, I want to keep typing "bastard" hahaha, anyways check this out. This guy doesn't know what happened to his SRT-4 engine. This guy in Milwaukee blew it up. From one of his previous threads, he was just putzing through a parking lot when he heard something and then antifreeze started puking out onto the ground. Guest bastaad525
:/ I'm sure he knows what happened to his engine we get all kinds of stories over on the SRT forums as well... it usually only takes one look at the owners list of mods, or sometimes (I almost feel bad saying this) just paying attention to the way they 'talk', to figure out why they're breaking things. Conversely, there are a couple forum members with over 60,000 miles on '03 SRT-4's that have had NO problems or only minor stuff like interior squeeks and rattles. Those guys are usually stock or mopar only stuff
tfreer85
Sweet jeebus, I don't see that as just putting through the parking lot...maybe smoking the tires is "putting around". I've seen some pretty stupid work on SRT-4's a guy came in to my auto class and was a first semester, dry honed the cylinder walls, over-tightened all the bolts unevenly, head gasket seal on the oil pan, forged pistons hammered in, Fiji water radiator over flow, trash bag insulation, jb weld O2 sensor, and CRAPPY welded exhaust. Sad thing was he was parting out bad parts on ebay claiming them new or only slightly used... then complained how it ran bad. It was aggravating though he didn't want to learn what to do right and always wanted a 2nd semester to tell him what to do then play dumb to see to get them to do it. Frickin idiots. I trust you'll do better than that bastaad. Tyson
Guest bastaad525
yes I'll do better than that Gonna try to stick with Mopar stuff, professionally installed if it's anything more complicated than a tuneup. But then, my wastegate spring mod is pretty ghetto but no more ghetto than my grainger ball valve boost controller. But I'm being sensible with the boost and have done a lot of question asking before deciding how high to turn it up. It's only up 2psi over stock anyways and supposedly the stage 1 ECU I installed can support even more.
