Guest 1943
Hello, I have an '83 280ZX That sat for six months. Now when I turn on the ignition the fuel pump relay clicks but the fuel pump does not turn on. I pulled the fuel line and got someone to turn on the ignition and no fuel delivery. I crawled under the car and had someone turn on the ignition and put my hand on the fuel pump and nothing. Is the pump dead from sitting? Is there a fuse in the kick panel that could be dead? I looked at the fuse cover legend and it doesn't indicate anything about the fuel pump. Would somebody please advise me?
AK-Z
See if it has a bad ground. If not, look at the color of the wire and see if its connected on the fuse bloack to find which fuse it goes to. also check the fuse links and see if the ECU connections are properly seated. Tim240z
Connect the fuel pump directly to a battery.....
