In removing the engine and transmission without a leveling lift, I seem to have bent the ring that holds the rear seal on my nissan 5spd. The tranny leaked when I put the driveshaft back in, so I pulled the tranny again and tried to reshape the ring but it cracked and broke on relatively minor pressure. I put a new seal in and hoped for the best, and it worked for a little while (a day or two) but i seem to have lost my fluid again. Basically I want to know if I need to get a new tranny or if this metal ring is replaceable. If I need a new tranny, does anyone in the northeast have one they would like to sell for a relatively low price. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
