Guest sho_shane
So I shut my car down a week ago to build a custom cold air intake for it. It sat for 3 days befor i got the intake done and back from the powder coaters. When I put everything back together and cranked it up the motor didnt sound right. It sounds like its only firing off of 3 or 4 cilenders (sorry for the typo I cant spell) I dont know what it could be has this happend to someone else and if so can you please give me a clue what to look for? Thanks for any and all help...
Guest sho_shane
Also it wants to die if you take your foot off the gas and revs up really slow? I dont know:(
innerware
If you disconnected any of the fuel injectors you are probably not getting a good connection now. Those clips are old and corroded. Take them off one at a time and clean all the connections really good. Chances are this is your problem.
Guest DatsunSigma
I would check the piping again. If your referring to the L28E than just double check it. On mine I took off the the whole air assembly and had similar problems, but didnt realize that the hose connecting the AFM to the motor was disconnected (it was dark and I was tired lol). Marc280
Also try checking the spark plugs to see that they aren't fouled up. I don't really know why it happens but the exact same thing happens to me if i let it sit for about a week. I just take the plugs out give them a quick clean then it runs like new again. Guest DoTheDrew888
Air is entering the intake system somewhere after the AFM. Check to make sure all the tubes/hoses are connected properly. Feel all the way around the rubber tubes to make sure they are not cracked or improperly connected.
